Measuring 380 sq. feet, this cottage is built mainly out of fast regenerating materials &ndash; bamboo matting for walls, local hardwood for flooring, and palm leaves thatch for the roof.<br />

<div style="text-align:center">The exquisite duplex Havelock cottage is perfect for families traveling with children, or for four people who&rsquo;d like to share comfortable accommodation. The lower level has a four-poster double bed, a writing desk and a chair, and a wardrobe. This level also holds the only bathroom in the cottage. The lower level is airconditioned, with stairs leading up to the open-plan upper deck. The entrance to the lower level is fronted by a small verandah on which one may spend quality time with family or friends.<br />
<br />
The upper level is non-airconditioned and fan-cooled. It is furnished with a low queen-size bed, and has low seating and a low hanging roof surrounded by rollup bamboo matting blinds. The upped level is open to the elements with only the low hanging leaves of the roof and the bamboo blinds between the deck and surroundings. The blinds, when opened, pleases your eyes with greenery and natural light all around.. A sojourn at this quaint cottage at Barefoot at Havelock resort is one that you will never forget.<br />

<div style="text-align:center">Inspired by the large, perfectly circular community huts of Nicobari villages, our Nicobari Villa is a designer room that gives you an authentic tropical island feel, with a touch of modern luxury. Made entirely from wood, the room&rsquo;s walls are vertical slats, which when opened allow ample sunlight to enter the room from all directions.<br />

We sought the help of a Nicobari village head, called The Captain, to get the precise dome made of thatch as the roof.
